Community Education
As part of our mission, the Krempels Center is committed to educating the public about brain injury and prevention.
Interested members participate in a weekly Community Education group which prepares them to speak to various audiences including elementary and secondary schools, university classes, medical and allied health professionals, community groups and other individuals living with brain injury.
The Community Education group also teaches advocacy skills and takes action to address legislative and community issues affecting people with disabilities.
Presentations are tailored to each audience and combine educational material with the personal stories of members who are living with brain injury.
